I just feel this is a bit backwards and think the beds should be cleaned prior to use - just asking what others do and reasons why. Give more details to improve the helpfulness of your review. They treat her really well and she seems to like it. They help her with cooking and cleaning and things like bathing and taking her pills. It's good because she doesn't have to drive and there are her friends there.

Amsterdam Nursing Home was an older but excellent, very elegant, and clean place with good rehab. The staff was good, but the social work was not so good. The food was not good for my husband, but the dining room on the rehab floor looked fine.

Not enough staff but the staff who care really work over and above. They've overworked and need assistance...smh They take way to long to answer the floor phone which is disturbing. You cant get a single person in administration to call u back or answer your call. My mom has had numerous falls in which I've noted for investigation. We are paid by our participating communities, therefore our service is offered at no charge to families.

It's good that we do not have to worry about her. The people that worked there seemed to be doing it for good reasons. My father-in-law had stayed at Amsterdam Nursing Home. The place was very clean, bright, and the layout of the rooms were nice.

Bornemann's Nursing Home has been very good to both my mom and dad. The staff is very attentive to my dad who has dementia. Most of the staff is very kind and considerate to my mom .The facility is very clean and always smells clean. If there ever is a concern the staff is very good about checking into the situation and the problem is usually resolved quickly.

Amsterdam Nursing Home is a senior living provider in New York, New York that offers residents Assisted Living, Nursing Homes, and Adult Day Care. My mom was in Amsterdam Nursing Home for rehab. The staff was excellent, very attentive, and knowledgeable. She had no complaints about the food, it was good. The facility was clean, but the rooms were small, the floor she was on was congested, but the facility was beautiful. They had a grand piano in the lobby, they had people coming in to entertain, they had a hair salon, they had a topnotch physical therapy.
You work as a team trying to better the facility. I am a registrant in the Adult Day Care Program. We spend most of our days in a basement dining room.
The last time she was in for a stroke and had a heart monitor no one knew how to use the device and never returned after the one month use. She was left largely on her own, being fed and changed only when convenient. This is what you get when the owners are in New York and treat this as an investment.
The only reason I didn’t rate ths facility higher was because of 2 situations. My biggest recommendation for this facilities is to get cameras so that they can stop unprofessional behavior. Do not judge this facility by its somewhat dated appearance.
